Jayalalithaa on Thursday accused DMK treasurer M K Stalin of slapping a passenger on the Metro Rail in Chennai on Wednesday.
Stalin travelled on a metro train on Wednesday, and TV channels aired visuals of the DMK leader slapping a passenger.
In a statement, Jayalalithaa said, "This news is available in the media. This is not the way an MLA should behave.
I hope he will not behave like this in the future".

Speaking to reporters here, Stalin clarified that he had not slapped the passengers. He said, “The man was unintentionally stamping on a girl's feet. When I asked and gestured him to move, my hand hit his face. It was unintentional, and I didn’t slap him. Why can’t Jayalalithaa understand this?”
